This was not the first theatre experience I expected to have at UW, but it was wonderful regardless. I designed the backgrounds for this show and worked to create them over the course of five months. I decided to paint the backgrounds to have freedom in how the spaces looked, and in order to convey the arc of the story and its characters, I slowly transformed the watercolors to black and white charcoal. I had absolutely no idea what this show would look like because I had never seen anything like it before. It was super ambitious to have all of the actors on green screens and put them within the same virtual spaces but it really paid off. I'm so proud of how it turned out.
